Gran Turismo (PSP)

Back in 2004, Gran Turismo 4 Mobile was announced as a "flagship title" for the original PSP. Five long years later, Sony and Polyphony Digital have finally made good on that promise, releasing Gran Turismo as a launch title for the new PSP go portable...

Gran Turismo racing sim for the PSP (finally!). Updated interface from GT4.Multiplayer. More than 800 cars and 35 tracks. Easier to earn credits to "collect them all

Install won't fit on a 1GB Memory Stick Duo. Most car models and tracks aren't updated from GT4. Limited customization

Gran Turismo for PSP is exactly what GT fans would expect from Polyphony and Sony: You can race on the Nurburgring on your train commute, and it's just as fun as it is on the PS2 or PS3.

The Real Driving Simulator finally arrives on PSP. A sighting of Gran Turismo for the PSP is like seeing a unicorn, it just never happens, that is until now. Sony...

Tons of cars to collect ; Gorgeous visuals ; Superb control

No career mode ; No online functionality

Have you ever been to Egypt and checked out the Pyramids? I certainly haven't, but I did construct an Egyptian Pyramid Diorama made from Styrofoam once for a Primary School History Project. Armed with this Year Six knowledge, I'll be sharing a story...

You can now take Gran Turismo on a plane, or a train, or on a boat or on a goat.Eleventy billion different cars...eventually...The racing is ok and the graphics are pretty enough

Superduper long load times and incredibly boring early races in under powered cars. Most cars sound like a chainsaw.Horrible progression curve.Cars randomly come and go from dealers, making it hard to get your favourite vehicle

The Grand Turtle is just not a pick up and play experience, which makes it unsuited to a pick up and play system, but those of you committed enough will have fun collecting all the cars. It's not that it's a bad game, but I expected a much more...

When Gran Turismo, previously known as Gran Turismo Mobile, was first unveiled for the PSP, many gasped at such a tantalisingly mammoth prospect. As time went on however, the legitimacy of the project became increasingly uncertain, until now, a full...

Gran Turismo is fun to take out for a test drive, but for the long haul it lacks the depth that players have come to expect.

Gran Turismo Review

As close to racing a modified Viper as I'll ever get.

But this is the only flaw I could find to gripe about. The rest of the game is just fantastic. There is simply no other racing game for the PSX with the same graphic quality, depth, detail, and replay value. This is an absolute must-buy for...

Gran Turismo - PSP review at Thunderbolt Games

For any fan of the long running Gran Turismo series, patience is a virtue both on and off the race track. Formerly announced simultaneously with the PSP console at E3 2004, Gran Turismo PSP has almost become the Chinese Democracy of the gaming world,...

"The Real Driving Simulator" comes to the handheld lacking much but offering enough.

Classiest driving physics in the handheld environment; killer visuals; more cars than an LA traffic jam

Can't damage (or repair) your cars; can't race online, can't compete in championship, season, or career modes

The PSP version of Gran Turismo is simply incredible, and yet disappointing at the same time.

Gran Turismo for the PlayStation Portable is a faithful reproduction of the original PSX game that achieved so much success in the 90's. Although missing online functionality, it's still the best racer you'll find for the platform. A solid title...

It's a stunning game that both looks and plays beautifully. Truckloads of content will get you addicted in no time

No online multiplayer is excusable, but the lack of leaderboard and ghost support is not

GT for a new generation.

After been delayed, halted, abducted by aliens and almost canceled, Polyphony Digital finally released Gran Turismo, the most anticipated title in the history of the PSP, earlier this month. Promising unparalleled gameplay and realistic graphics, the...

Car models are great ; Driving mechanics are solid ; Great soundtrack and engine sounds ; 800 cars, great selection of tracks ; Challenge mode ; Possibility to export your saved garage to Gran Turismo 5

No career mode ; Bland environments ; Can't modify cars...just tuned them

Although some of us thought that the game was never going to be made, Polyphony Digital should be happy to see that there still were a lot of players interested in playing it. We can certainly ask ourselves why the game took so long to develop if it...
