Kindle Oasis

 

The Kindle Oasis is the most luxurious, high-end e-reader ever made by Amazon. It's ridiculously thin, weighs very little and is a pleasure to use.

Beautiful, fantastically well built and a pleasure to use. But the high-price means it's only for the most diehard of Kindle fans.

The Amazon Kindle Oasis is the best experience money can buy when it comes to reading electronic tomes. The main problem lies in how much money you have to part with to let that happen, and its high price is likely to scare some off.

A luxury e-reader if there ever was one, the new top-of-the-line Kindle weighs a mere 131 grams and includes a swanky battery cover that delivers months of battery life.

The Kindle Oasis is the lightest Kindle yet at 4.6 ounces and is 3.4 mm at its thinnest point. A slim leather battery case is included and adheres magnetically to the device, bumping battery life up to a 9 weeks without WiFi on. The integrated light...

It's pricey, isn't any zippier than the Voyage or Paperwhite, and isn't waterproof.

If you don't mind the high price, the Kindle Oasis is the best e-reader you can buy today.

While we struggled to recommend the old version in light of the sturdy performance of the Paperwhite, we'd happily vouch for the new Kindle Oasis. It's bigger, it's better, it's waterproof. It's the best Kindle yet.

Amazon Kindle Oasis: The ultimate e-reader is now waterproof

 

For the Kindle's 10th anniversary, Amazon updates its high-end e-reader so you can take it in the bath. It has a bigger 7-inch screen and support for Audible, too.

The new Kindle Oasis maintains its slim design while adding a sturdier aluminum back and a larger 7-inch, high-resolution E Ink screen. It's fully waterproof (can be submerged) and can play your Audible audiobooks to Bluetooth headphones or speakers....

Expensive; no case included.

While not as lightweight as the original Kindle Oasis, the larger screen, more durable aluminum chassis and full waterproofing are important upgrades that put the new Oasis at the top of the e-reader class.
